Our Awards Committees

The WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards Operational Advisory Committee (WANMEA – OAC) coordinates and makes decisions related to the Excellence Awards.

Aims and Objectives

• Consider decisions related to the WANMEA including award categories, nomination questions and process, appointment of industry members to shortlisting and judging panels, judging process, sponsorship
• Provide broad industry advice as required in the planning and implementation of the WANMEA
• Assist in communication dissemination and promotion related to the WANMEA

One representative from each of the following is required

• Chair – Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer (Nursing and Midwifery Office)
• Public Health Sector (metropolitan)
• Public Health Sector (rural)
• Acute Private Sector
• Non-acute Private/Non-Government Sector
• Academic
• Regulation
• Consumer

Other representatives, particularly from Industrial and Professional sectors can be co-opted at any time on an as needs basis.
